Opera Philadelphia Studying the Needs of Today's Arts Consumers with Help from The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage
Learn more about Opera Philadelphia productions through the informative audio magazine, In Tune with Opera Philadelphia, a series of podcasts on the seasons' operas.
Hosted by the Opera's VP of Community Programs Michael Bolton and mezzo-soprano Maren Montalbano, each edition features musical excerpts, plot synopses and background information on the operas, cast and production information, interviews with artists and producers, Academy of Music historical moments and more!
Opera Philadelphia performs three large-scale works each season at the historic Academy of Music, America’s oldest, continuously-running opera house opened in 1857; and two rarely-performed, often contemporary works as part of the Aurora Series for Chamber Opera at the Perelman Theater at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.
