Mezzo-soprano from Port Jefferson, NY making her OCP debut as Presendia
Give us a snapshot of your character in Dark Sisters. Presendia is the oldest and first wife and has recently been usurped but her younger sisterwife, Zina. She no is no longer calling the shots in this house and she is full of resentment. Sadly, she understands that after nine children, with her fertility disappearing, she is no longer of any use. This fact, and that she has had to watch her actual blood-related sister fall into madness, is devastating to her. By the end, her faith in "the principle" of plural marriage is completely destroyed but she remains to raise her children that she loves so much.
What is the thing on your iPod that would most surprise people? My husband Bill has very eclectic taste in music and has really opened my mind to many artists. These days I am liking Eminem, The Fray and Jay-Z. That said, most of my iPod space is taken up by one singer that is my favorite of all time....Ella Fitzgerald. For me, she is perfection.
What is your favorite guilty pleasure food? Being Irish, my guilty pleasure food is potatoes in ANY form, although I am slightly partial to garlic mashed.....heaven.
Soprano from Wilmington, DE making her OCP debut as Zina
Give us a snapshot of your character in Dark Sisters. Zina is the privileged "favorite wife," because she is the newest-- and youngest-- and has been the one most recently having babies (and is currently pregnant). She is actually quite fragile, but masks her vulnerability with a mean, hard edge.
What is the thing on your iPod that would most surprise people? I don't even remember what is on my iPod anymore! I have an infant and she requires lots of attention outside work time. We do listen to every kind of music together, but the "old-fashioned" CD way.

Bass from New York, NY making his OCP debut as the Prophet and King
Give us a snapshot of your character in Dark Sisters I play two characters in Dark Sisters: the Prophet and King. The Prophet is the religious head of an FLDS ranch and the patriarch of a polygamist family, a ranch and a family that have had their children taken away from them by the government. He relies on his faith, and urges his distraught wives to do the same, to resolve the situation, as well as other problems that threaten the family. King is a newscaster who reports the story of the government's raid on the ranch and who interviews the sister wives. He is flashy, part sensationalist, but he also recognizes that his interviewees are understandably upset about the loss of their children.

What is the thing on your iPod that would most surprise people? Probably the remnants of the short-lived but passionate country music phase I went through in high school.
What is your favorite guilty pleasure food? While I'm here in Philly, it has to be the Hot Corned Beef Sandwich at Famous 4th Street Deli!
