Opera Company Announces Ultimate Love Letter Contest in Preparation for CYRANO!

With the exciting East Coast Premiere of Cyrano less than one month away, the Opera Company of Philadelphia launches the Ultimate Love Letter Contest to get the city in the mood for romance!  Entries are currently being accepted for the ultimate love letter as we ask you to put your pen to the test and craft the most romantic love letter. 

Your letter will be judged by our celebrity panel, and the Grand Prize winner will receive the ultimate Valentine's Day gift including 2 box seats for the East Coast Premiere of Cyrano, a personal limousine for the evening, generously provided by Preferred Car & Limousine, and dinner for two generously provided by Le Bec-Fin.

Calling All Book Clubs: Read Cyrano

With Ainadamar in March

This March the Opera Company of Philadelphia teams up with Curtis Opera Theatre and Kimmel Center Presents in a groundbreaking collaboration to present the Philadelphia premiere of Osvaldo Golijov’s Ainadamar.  The Grammy Award-winning opera recounts the murder of the Spanish poet and playwright Federico Garcia Lorca and is performed at the Kimmel Center’s Perelman Theater by the rising stars of the Curtis Opera Theatre and the Curtis Symphony Orchestra under OCP Music Director Corrado Rovaris.  In four performances only from March 14th through 16th don’t miss your opportunity to see the opera that won twice at the 2006 Grammy Awards!
