This fantastical, colorful production features a set and costumes straight from a pop-up storybook, with an all-star international cast. The opera tells the story of a beautiful, shipwrecked Italian girl who uses her wit and charm to outsmart the ruler who captures her – while rescuing her true love. Starring in the title role is beautiful mezzo-soprano sensation Ruxandra Donose as the cunning Isabella, alongside Lawrence Brownlee and buffo bass Kevin Glavin as the hilariously outwitted Bey of Algiers, Mustafà.
