Don't Miss Your Last Chance To See
Hansel and Gretel:
Friday, November 23 & Sunday, November 25!

After the turkey is finished and the shopping is done, what better way to celebrate this holiday weekend with the family than the magically delightful Hansel and Gretel?  Last week The Philadelphia Inquirer said that the "... Maurice Sendak production the company has imported is, without a single reservation, a wonder. In its three-dimensionality and the way it hits you in the face, it's like a giant pop-up book.... This Sendak version of Hansel und Gretel is the one you wish you had seen as a kid."

With vivid sets and costumes created by the illustrative genius of Maurice Sendak, author of Where the Wild Things Are, and a cast that has won audience and critical
praise, don't miss your chance to see this production that the Inquirer calls "magically sweet" before it's gone!

Remaining performances are Friday, 11/23 at 8:00pm and Sunday, 11/25 at 2:30pm.  There's no better way to start the holiday season this Thanksgiving weekend than by bringing the family to this classic fairytale!

REMINDER:
No Late Seating Policy and Pre-Opera Lectures

We'd like to remind all ticket holders that the Opera Company of Philadelphia upholds the national standard of "no late seating" once the overture has begun. Latecomers will be seated at the earliest possible break in the performance action, but this may not be until intermission.

Because the Avenue of the Arts has a thriving performance scene with many curtain times coinciding with one another, we ask you to carefully plan your travel, parking and
dining to arrive with plenty of time to take your seat before curtain time. Visit our web site for tips on travel planning!

And what better way to ensure you will be on time for the opera -- and to learn about the performance you are about to see -- than to attend one of our Opera Overtures
pre-opera lectures. Held one hour prior to curtain and open to subscribers, these 30-minute, casual but informative talks are a great appetizer to the entree of grand opera!
