Tickets for the Puccini blockbuster Turandot went on sale December 1st, and day one surpassed even La boheme in sales! This dramatic opera features perhaps the most famous aria in all of opera, "Nessun Dorma" (listen here!). The opera tells the story of a beautiful princess who demands that her suitors answer her riddles before they may have her hand in marriage. The penalty for the wrong answer is death, yet the brave Calaf, intoxicated by her beauty, endeavors to pass Turandot's test - and win her heart. This surefire sell-out features the lovely Francesca Patane in the title role, with Francesco Hong as Calaf.
