East Coast Premiere Opening Night of Cyrano

All of Philadelphia is abuzz about the East Coast Premiere of the new American opera Cyrano, which makes its debut tonight at the Academy of Music in the largest production the Opera Company has produced in over a decade. With sets representing six locations, over 160 hand-sewn, 17th-century costumes, and more than 150 people onstage and in the orchestra pit, this French masterpiece epitomizes the best of music and theater that opera offers!
Recent press coverage on 6-ABC, NBC-10, in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the City Paper, three stories in the Daily News about the Premiere, composer David DiChiera and star tenor Stephen Costello, and the airing of the "Making of Cyrano" documentary on WHYY have gotten Philadelphia talking about this can't-miss production! Opening night still has limited-view seating available, while the remainder of the run still has ticket availabilty -- but is selling fast!
