Gary Gansky - Chief Financial Officer
Gary H. Gansky is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance and Administration of Opera Philadelphia. He has headed up the Opera’s Finance Department since 1997.
In that role he has lead an aggressive and successful effort to redefine and improve that department’s systems and procedures. His actual involvement with Opera Philadelphia began in 1988 as a volunteer in production and stage management. He is responsible for all aspects of the Opera’s financial accounting and reporting systems, budgeting, banking and insurance relationships, contracts, HR administration, IT administration and facilities management. From 1987 to 1997, Mr. Gansky worked in the Treasurer’s Office of the University of Pennsylvania as Director of Fiscal Operations for the University’s non-academic real estate portfolio. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with fifteen years of experience in the public accounting profession and is a long-time member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Gansky received his Masters Degree in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law.
