Ticket Exchange

If you are unable to attend a performance in your subscription series, please contact Subscriber Services as soon as possible so we may assist you in exchanging your tickets or donating them to receive a tax-deductible receipt.

As an Opera Company of Philadelphia subscriber or donor, you have the exclusive benefit of exchanging your tickets for another performance of the same opera. Our Subscriber Services office will make every effort to find seating comparable to your original location, subject to availability.

Below are 4 easy ways to exchange your tickets:

Exchange by Mail (No service charge)
Mail tickets, accompanied by completed Ticket Exchange Form. Tickets must be received at least one day before the performance date. If time will not allow for mailing, please use one of the other exchange methods below.

Mail tickets to:
SUBSCRIBER SERVICES
Opera Company of Philadelphia
1420 Locust Street, Suite 210
Philadelphia, PA 19102

Exchange by Fax (No service charge)
Tear tickets in half, make a copy of the torn tickets, and fax the copy, along with a completed Ticket Exchange Form, to 215-893-7801

Exchange in Person (No service charge)
Bring tickets to: SUBSCRIBER SERVICES Office, Academy House Professional Offices, 1420 Locust Street, 2nd Floor, Suite 210, Monday thru Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Exchange by Phone
Call Subscriber Services at 215-732-8400 to exchange your tickets and request a new performance date. The original tickets must still be returned to the Subscriber Services office by fax, mail, or in person (please see instructions above). A service charge of $4.50 per ticket applies, payable by credit card. This fee is waived for Patron Council members and Bravi Associates.
Please note that we are unable to accept ticket exchange requests by e-mail.

If we are having difficulty finding comparable seating on your requested date, we will contact you to discuss other options. While we are unable to issue refunds, we will waive the phone exchange fee if your new seats are in a lower priced section.

Please keep in mind that different series have different price points; if your exchange seating incurs a higher price point, Subscriber Services will contact you regarding your balance due and, again, will waive the phone exchange fee for you. Please click here to see Series Prices.

Please make your exchange request at least one business day before the original performance date printed on your ticket. Exchanges for Sunday performances should be received before the close of business on Friday. After that time, ticket exchange requests are no longer accepted, but you may still donate your tickets for a tax-deductible receipt. (Please see below for details.)

If the new performance date is fewer than five business days away, we will leave your new tickets at Will Call on the date of the performance.  The Will Call window is located at the Academy of Music Box Office and opens two hours prior to show time.

Tax-Deductible Ticket Donation

If you are unable to attend a performance, please do not let your tickets go unused! By donating your tickets for a tax-deductible receipt, the Opera Company can re-sell them, helping us to defray costs and at the same time making potential ticket buyers very happy.

Tickets may be returned as a tax-deductible donation to the Opera Company at least two hours prior to performance time by calling Subscriber Services at 215-732-8400. Please note that after that time, the tickets are no longer valued for donation.

You will be asked to write "Donated" across the face of each ticket in ink and either return them by mail, or fax a photocopy to 215-893-7801. Once your tickets have been received, your receipt will be mailed approximately one month after the production closes. The Opera Company of Philadelphia thanks you for your tax-deductible donation!

Private Sale

Only subscribers have the exclusive chance to purchase additional single tickets for family and friends through the Subscriber Services office and save 10% off the full single ticket price! Additionally, donors and subscribers have access to this ticket inventory before the tickets go on sale to the general public each season!

There is a $5.00 per order handling fee for sales by phone, fax and mail.
