Get to Know the Cast of Dark Sisters

With the opening of Dark Sisters just days away, get to know the talented artists that bring this new opera by Nico Muhly and Stephen Karam to life.  Many of these singers are new to Philadelphia but they are well-known on stages around the world including the Metropolitan, Santa Fe, and Glimmerglass Operas.  We wanted to learn a bit more about each them and their characters in Dark Sisters, which runs June 8, 10m, 13, 15 & 17m as part of the Aurora Series at the Perelman Theater.


Two Free Events: Meet the Creative Forces Behind Dark Sisters

Philadelphia audiences are buzzing about the upcoming Aurora Series premiere of Dark Sisters, the new American opera by composer Nico Muhly.  Audiences now have two opportunities to hear Muhly, whom London’s Telegraph today called, “the hottest talent in contemporary classical music,” with free events from the Opera Company of Philadelphia that focus on the music – and the words, by acclaimed New  York playwright Stephen Karam.
