The Opera Company's Adult Education Programs give you an in-depth look at the art form you love from popular established programs like A Taste of Opera and Opera Overtures to events and classes in your community.
Reserve your spot now for all upcoming presentations of A Taste of Opera at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts! A Taste of Opera showcases young singers performing music from upcoming productions and is a great way to get acquainted with a composer's music and style - for free! Join us one hour before every performance this season for Opera Overtures, 30-minute chats designed to enhance your appreciation of this season's operas. Lectures will be held in the Parquet level of the Academy of Music for main stage productions, and in the Merck Education Center on Tier 2 of the Kimmel Center for all performances held at the Perelman Theater. Join the Opera Company at Bryn Mawr Film Institute for a series of films specifically related to each of the operas we present this season. The five films in the series are M. Butterfly, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Cleopatra, Camille, and Black Orpheus. OCP also continues its collaboration with the theater to provide 30 minute talks before each of the BMFI's HD Opera presentations.
