Opera Overtures is the perfect counterpart to A Taste of Opera. Opera Overtures is open to all ticket-holders. These free informal talks are held one hour before every performance and will enhance your appreciation of all the operas you see this season.
Opera Overtures talks for Opera at the Academy productions of Verdi's Nabucco, Golijov's Ainadamar and Mozart's Don Giovanni will be held in the Academy of Music auditorium on the Parquet Circle level.
Talks for the Aurora Series for Chamber Opera at the Perelman productions of Poulenc's Dialogues of the Carmelites and Gordon's A Coffin in Egypt will be held in Comcast Circle on Tier 1 of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.
Opera Overtures talks for Sokolović's Svadba-Wedding, an Opera in the City production, will be held in the FringeArts auditorium, located at Race Street and North Columbus Boulevard.
Pre-performance talks for Richard Strauss's Salome will be held in the Rendell Room of the Kimmel Center or in Verizon Hall as part of The Philadelphia Orchestra's PreConcert Conversations.
Remember, admittance to Opera Overtures is not transferable to another date. Attendance is only available on the day of your printed ticket.
