MoreStar of Charlie Parker's YARDBIRD, bel canto tenor Lawrence Brownlee, collaborated with musician Damien Sneed for a program of original spiritual arrangements. Two of Brownlee's YARDBIRD costars, soprano Angela Brown and baritone Will Liverman, joined them with two selections each.
Over 500 community members joined us for the June 8, 2015 recital held at Union Baptist Church, a National Historic Landmark where trailblazing Philadelphia contralto Marian Anderson sang as a child.
