Opera Philadelphia Channel Reflection & Re-Vision A DEEPER LOOK INTO THE OPERA WORLD
A complement to the productions on the Opera Philadelphia Channel, this FREE series looks deeper into the opera genre by exploring its musical and theatrical elements as well as cultural, social, and historical perspectives.
Grades 8-12 T-VOCE CREATING COMMUNITY THROUGH THE POWER OF SONG
Teen Voices of the City Ensemble (T-VOCE) is a FREE inclusive choir that welcomes youth 13-19 from all backgrounds to share their talents and be themselves in a safe and supportive space. In-person rehearsal protocols will be in accordance with government and industry guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy. Join us!
Grades 9-12 Backstage Pass RAISE THE CURTAIN ON YOUR FUTURE
Backstage Pass is your entry to the exciting entertainment industry. Created for high school students, Backstage Pass introduces students to varied careers backstage in theater, film, and concerts.
Grades 5-12 Dress Rehearsal Program Connect your students to live or digital performances
Plan a field trip to the opera or experience performances on-demand with the Opera Philadelphia Channel and expand the possibilities of learning. Designed for students in grades 5–12, this FREE program makes connections across curriculum with lessons and resources for music and language arts, to social studies, foreign language, and more.
Grade 4 Residency Program SELF-DISCOVERY THROUGH OPERA
Collaborate with our Teaching Artists to explore the genre of opera over 10 weeks. Using Social Emotional Learning (SEL) practices, students explore the various aspects of this art form and work together to create a student-guided opera.
Grades 9-12 Opera on Trial LEARN ABOUT LAW AND PROSECUTE THE SINGER!
Designed for students in criminal justice courses, Opera on Trial puts the characters of an opera on trial for crimes they may (or may not) have committed. Partnering with various other organizations, this course culminates in an official mock trial presided by an esteemed Philadelphia-area judge.
