Student learn about careers behind the curtain

By Opera Philadelphia

Students in the 2021-2022 Backstage Pass program tackled a variety of hands-on technical theatre projects. In this free program available to Philadelphia high school students, technical theater professionals teach modules on carpentry, makeup design, costume design, lighting design, and more. Backstage Pass aims to expose students interested in technical theatre to potential careers and skills that are in-demand for theatre, opera, film, television, and more. Check out the wood flats, tool aprons, and special effects wounds that students created throughout the past year. Visit our Backstage Pass page to learn more, and click here to apply for the Fall!
