VIVACE Night at Sleepers Awake

VIVACE, Opera Philadelphia's community for young friends, invites you to experience this world premiere from composer Gregory Spears. Sit with fellow VIVACE Members and attend a post-performance party with members of the cast!

A dream-like adaptation of the "Sleeping Beauty" fairytale, Sleepers Awake features the Opera Philadelphia Chorus in the starring role. Inspired by the modernist writer Robert Walser and conceived with and directed by Jenny Koons, this visually dazzling opera activates a collective voice to question the fragile line between waking and dreaming.

Following the performance, VIVACE Members are invited to mingle with the stars of the show and other young friends during an afterparty with light food and a cash bar.
