Meet Emerging Artist: Baritone Will Liverman

This season, in celebration of the 40th Anniversary and the company’s ongoing commitment to emerging talent, Opera Philadelphia is strengthening its mission of cultivating future stars through the formation of an Emerging Artists Program. Baritone Will Liverman makes his company and role debut as in the upcoming World Premiere of Charlie Parker's YARDBIRD as part of the Emerging Artist Program.

Praised by The New York Times as “mellow-voiced and charismatic” and Opera News for his “noble sound and bearing,” Will creates the role of Dizzy Gillespie in the new opera by composer Daniel Schnyder and librettist Bridgette A. Wimberly. Will also recently debuted the role of Andrew Hanley in Kevin Puts' The Manchurian Candidate.
