Opera Philadelphia invites you to a powerful celebration of peace through the transformative power of music.  Join us on April 24, 2027 for Voices for Peace, Opera Philadelphia’s 2026-2027 Gala, an event unlike any we have done before.

The evening is a special partnership with the American Friends Service Committee, a Quaker peace and justice organization. We will celebrate AFSC’s ground­breaking work on their 110th anniversary and the 80th anniversary of AFSC and British Friends’ acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of Quakers worldwide. 

Nobel Peace Prize Laureates Conversation
Academy of Music | 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Join the American Friends Service Committee for an afternoon conversation with Nobel Peace Prize laureates as they discuss protest and civil society in times of conflict and rising authoritarianism around the world. The conversation will be moderated by NPR and CNN host and contributor Ari Shapiro, with Laureates including: Joyce Ajlouny of American Friends Service Committee (U.S), Leymah Gbowee (Liberia), Tawakkol Karman (Yemen), Oleksandra Matviichuk of the Center for Civil Liberties (Ukraine), Kailash Satyarthi (India), Jody Williams (U.S.).

This joyful and impactful concert brings Nobel Peace Laureates together with star singers and our full orchestra—a program centered on the possibility of peace and the people who have devoted their lives to advancing it.

Voices for Peace Gala Dinner

Following the Voices for Peace concert, the celebration continues at the Four Seasons Philadelphia, proud sponsor of this event. We will gather for dinner and festivities, celebrating with our artists, Nobel Peace Laureates, civic leaders, and friends.
