You’re invited to take a deep dive into Opera Philadelphia’s work to make opera more accessible. In partnership with Music: Not Impossible and Art-Reach, Opera Philadelphia has been working towelcome a wider audience, including communities with diverse sensory needs. 

We’ll hear from Veronica Chapman-Smith, Opera Philadelphia’s Vice President of Community Initiatives,about this exciting work and experience a demonstration of the innovative Vibrotextile™ wearable technology from Daniel Belquer, Co-Founder and Chief Vibrations Officer for Music:Not Impossible. Inspired by the deaf community, this technology gives users a unique and nuanced music experience by translating sound onto the skin through vibrations coordinated with the music program. Attendees will experience this groundbreaking technology firsthand while learning more about Daniel’s work and Opera Philadelphia’s upcoming Resonant Philly event.
